The coming of men, the second children of Iluvatar, is an exciting thing I am witnessing. I am Melian, a Maia. I keep thinking about when the Atani crossed into Beleriand. I felt their footsteps, as they were a giant wave in the world of Arda. These humans were full of hope. But my foresight into the future causes me sadness, as I cannot forget what I see. I am scared that these new children of iluvatar have dreams that are too bold. They are mortals with dreams that require lifetimes. Furthermore, they are a new species in our uncertain world. Will they be corrupted by Melkor and be the nail in our coffin? All of these thoughts trouble me. However, I do have faith. I have seen and persisted through so much, and I don't expect the arrival of humans to disrupt me any more than past events have. I trust in the eldar, and have confidence in Thingol's strength. I will remain in Doriath, faithfully guarding the people who have placed their trust in me. While men step into our worl...

Song of Eru: Enjoy the earth, thats its purpose to provide shelter, your lifes worth it. I create the sun, and I create the stars So my lovely creatures see how beautiful things are. The waters sing and the mountains rise Their echoes dance under and in the skies. All hearts shall unite, as that is my will. Trust in me, Eru can overcome any hill. This is a symphony of peace, and eternal rhymes. I unite all, with my thunderous chimes. Each note I create holds love and grace. Your purpose is to appreciate the beauty of this place. HW 9/15 Bio on the Maiar

The lord Iluvator created me to inhabit Ea alongside my senior peers. We call these peers the Valar, and we are all Ainur. However, our lord has created us for distinct reasons, and so we follow the commands of our exalted peers. We do have many powers, but we only use them to do the bidding of the Valar and our lord. We do not have one form but instead look mystical to the elves and men of Middle-earth. We Maia under the Valar do many different things. Under Varda we serve as protectors of the stars. Varda was responsible for the bright lights that were conveyed in Valinor, so the Maia under Varda assist in the display of light. We serve her diligently because the stars create hope in all creatures that inhabit middle earth. Under Aule we Maia are intellectually stimulated. We must craft items and understand the materials our world generously bestowed upon us by the great Iluvator contains. We study the stones and minerals of the earth, the lakes, the air, and all things natural ...
